Kil-Kare Motor Speedway was the place for racing last night on the 28th as this was a rain make from a previous event. Returning to one of my more favorite pavements tracks as Kil-Kare has about nine different corners and a thousands way to make a quick lap! After hotlaps the car felt very good and we were able to break into the top ten quailifly for the first time with a 6th quick time in the 19 car felid. In the heat race we started 5th and trying a few setup changes for a better car in the feature we ended up fifth in the heat. With our 6th quick time and a invert of six, I was able to start on the pole for the 25 lap feature. Leading a few of the early laps I fell in line at third and on the longer greens runs I was able to hang right with the fastest cars, but with many yellows and a car that didn’t handle well on the restarts I slid back to a sixth place finish. Sunday the 30th we will be heading to a new track Galesburg Speedway.
