With a weekend off in the USAC schedule, we decide to chase some bounty money with the Focus car. We headed out to Kankakee, IL to run with the Illina Racing Series Sportsman Midgets at a very fast 1/3 mile dirt track. With a seventh place start in the heat race after taking a few laps to get comfortable on the on the track I was able to work my way up to a 3^rd place finish. Starting in the fourth spot in the 20 lap feature, I was able to make quick work to get to the lead of the pack. After two red flags and some close racing on the restarts I was able to hang on and pick up our first feature win this season!
