With our smallest field in Midwest Pavement action this year we traveled to Hawkeye Downs Speedway were the local paper coined us as the “Magnificent 7”. After two hot lap sessions we were able to get the car to work quite well on the slick semi banked quarter mile. In the first heat race I started 7^th and finished a tight seventh as we stayed two wide for the finish. Trying some different setups on the car in the second heat we started on the pole and finished 3^rd. For the feature I had to start in the 7^th spot and over the 30 laps with being conservative on the tires I was able to work my way up to a third place finish.
