Friday night, August 10th, Tony and the crew headed to Gas City I-69 Speedway, for a sprint and USAC midget show, with 29 sprint cars in the pits, it was going to be a very tough night. With a pole starting spot in the heat, it would help to finish 4th and go straight to the feature. A 15th starting spot in the main would add to a promise of a good night, but after the midget feature, the track was re-worked and not exactly what I had expected. It was in great shape for a fast race, but had the car a bit on the tight side early in the feature, until the track began to slick off  and came to us. Unfortunately on lap 15-20, I noticed a different tone from the motor. After pulling into the pits, it looked like only a cracked header. After more investigation, something in the valve train has come apart, and ending Tony's first full season behind a sprint car. Look forTony to be back in action next year at the tracks across Indiana!
