A solid start to the 2006 Main Spirit Racing Season.  North Track Raceway in Lebanon, IN was the place for modified midget action on Friday the 21st.  For the first race at the new facility, that is suited quit well for 600’s.  The long flat straights lead into banked tight corners.  Hot laps went smoothly, but we were off on our initial gearing.  For the heat race we started on the inside second row and were able to finish in second place.  This put me in the outside second row for the feature.  The track was watered and looked to be fast.  After running in fifth for the first 20 laps.  Around lap 25, a red flag came out for an incident on the backstretch. Narrowly avoiding this I advanced to fourth place, on the last few laps I was knocking at the door, but was not able to break into the top three settling for a fourth.  Over all it was a very smooth and uneventful start to the season and a good chance to knock the rust off for me.  For next weekend things are up in the air, either to run Peru on Saturday night or return to Lebanon on Friday evening.

This Sunday the 23rd we will be practicing with the Focus car on pavement at Mt. Lawn.
